Summary | The author says that she teaches her daughter that the internet does not forget and that female nudity rarely benefits the nude woman in the long run. However, there seem to be contradicting cases. Women's and men's careers have been both destroyed and boosted by the leaking of nude images, sexting selfies, or revenge porn. Most recently, Donald Trump has been caught first defending his wife's honor and accusing Ted Cruz of posting nude footage of her modeling days to then later post images of his wife and Cruz's wife to make the point that his wife is hotter.

Summary | Brazil has just blocked WhatsApp in their country for 72 hours in order to for WhatsApp to share chats with their police in ciminal cases. It is unlikely that something like this will happen in Germany but it is good to know about some alternatives just in case... Especially since WhatsApp is not very trustworthy about user privacy. Threema is a Swiss app that alllows for user anonymity, Slack is a really good app to use with colleagues because files can be saved within group chats, and Telegram deletes inactive chats after a while so that there are no traces.

For instance, one teenager told Manenti that adults have different Facebook profiles; they only post pictures of their family and their vacation. In sum, they don't use social media the same way as young people. Moreover, teenagers view their smartphone as their best friend and not as a tool. What about "You Porn Generation"? It is true that children as young as 10 can have access to porn. Parents have an important role to play in their relationship with their children, and they should have open discussions with them.
